The hike begins in Cavigliano and ends in Ponte Brolla. The route leads through flat terrain up to an altitude of 656 m. Going down into the valley, the route runs along the Ri di Riei, where you can admire the recently renovated stone bridge.
Before reaching Tegna you arrive at the Sant’Anna chapel, to enjoy a spectacular view of Terre di Pedemonte and Lago Maggiore. There is also the opportunity to tour an archaeological site with castle ruins here.
The final stage of the hike takes you along the Maggia to the Ponte Brolla gorge and its bizarre rock formations. You will marvel at the extremely attractive river landscape.
Hiking is recommended in spring or autumn, but not in winter as the trails may be covered in ice.
