Excursion to the Pizzo Ruscada

Your efforts in reaching the summit are rewarded with a fantastic panorama: the Valais Alps, including Mont Blanc, the Gotthard massif and the Central Alps; and the Ticino Alps and pre-Alps with Lago Maggiore in the distance. Enjoy the wow effect!

The route starts at Monte Comino and goes on to Pianasci, to the saddle of Pescia Longa and to the Alpe di Corte Nuovo. The hike, which takes around three-and-a-half hours, is demanding in places and is therefore only recommended for experienced and well-equipped hikers.

Where does the adventure begin? You reach the valley station of the cableway on Monte Comino in just a few minutes from Verdasio station. The hike to the Pizzo Ruscada starts from the mountain station.
