The church of San Michele

The church dedicated to Saint Michael is one of Switzerland’s national cultural monuments and contains a special treasure: the fresco cycle by Antonio da Tradate from the 15th century.

With their vibrant colours, the expressive frescoes appear in the choir of the church – a masterpiece that ranks as one of the artist’s most important works. Due to their special value, they have been recorded in the Swiss inventory of cultural assets of national importance.
