Events that will allow you to live engaging experiences in contact with the most intact nature of the Vigezzo Valley, at a slow pace, in small family groups (or slightly larger), in unusual moments of the day and in uncrowded environments.
Every week the Val Grande National Park offers interesting trekking proposals - and not only - to explore a wild territory still little known.
Every week the nature guide Arianna Bertoni will propose "In the nature from head to toe", an appointment of forest therapy, total immersion in nature, walks at dawn, sunset, moonlight, which will allow you to know and appreciate the territory from a different and privileged point of view.
Outdoor yoga will also return in summer 2020, by popular demand, for moments of authentic relaxation in nature.
Cultural and musical events will once again be the heart of the summer events in Santa Maria Maggiore.
There will be exhibitions, many of which will be set up open-air in the alleys and squares of our Borgo Bandiera Arancione of the Italian Touring Club, concerts of Music to drink, which the public can attend sitting, but ... at the right distance, and Paths and Thoughts, which will change its location to move in the airy and beautiful Park of Villa Antonia. Also the literary festival directed by Bruno Gambarotta will be remodeled to follow the government directives on pandemic containment. In case of bad weather the cultural and musical events will be hosted at the Municipal Theatre, following the appropriate safety measures and physical distancing.
The cultural events will also be broadcast live streaming on the Facebook page and on the YouTube channel of Santa Maria Maggiore, so that all those who have no chance of reaching the event venue can also attend.
These events will be an absolute novelty: born and conceived in a Covidless key, they would not have existed without the emergency we are leaving behind.
"CoronAtions - Cultural actions against the virus" will include small musical moments (electronic music, classical, Celtic music, etc.), dance flashmob, readings, presentations of paintings, as well as a weekly press review broadcast - thanks to the renewed and enhanced plant of the City of Santa Maria Maggiore - in the streets of the village, made with a view to flow and fluidity. This means offering the artists a special stage (a private courtyard, a balcony, a porch) in front of which the public will be able to linger for as long as they want, but will not have any seats and will be able to avoid assemblages, with a sliding and safe usability.
A type of show specifically designed for young people, but which will also be appreciated by more mature people: everyone will be able to enjoy unpublished events, which will help to make Santa Maria Maggiore even more lively.
