Easter Sunday 17.04.2022 marks the start of the exhibition season at the Marguerite Arp Foundation with the new exhibition "I was born in a cloud" Jean Arp.
From poetry (one of his most famous collections is entitled Die Wolkenpumpe - The Cloud Pump, 1920) to works of art, the cloud is one of the true protagonists of Arp's work. Moreover, as a free, weightless entity, the cloud lends itself ideally to taking a multitude of forms, the most changeable and hybrid, while at the same time proving capable of evoking the most disparate associations. The result is sculptures, reliefs and prints entitled Coupe de nuage, Tranches de nuage or Palette de nuages.
In the garden: Nuvole (Clouds) installation by Studio Nephos, a contemporary interpretation of Arpiana's "cloud pump".
Opening hours exhibition space and garden: from 17 April to 30 October 2022 every Sunday from 2pm to 6pm.
Special openings: 18.04 Easter Monday / 26.05 Ascension Day / 06.06 Whit Monday.
