Foliage FAQ

In autumn, the route of our railway turns into a multicolored painting, with the forests glowing in every shade of red, yellow, and orange. A natural spectacle to be experienced while traveling on our trains through wild valleys and woodlands.
Every day, trains connect the two terminal stations, Domodossola and Locarno, along a breathtaking 52 km route with spectacular views and panoramic glimpses set ablaze by autumn colors.

In autumn, the forests along our route, between Domodossola and Locarno, turn into a variety of colors, giving our journey a breathtaking landscape thanks to the foliage, the autumnal change in leaf colors.

From October 11 to November 16, 2025 is the best period to enjoy this picturesque phenomenon aboard our trains.
