The Camellia Park in Locarno covers an area of 10,000 square metres on the shores of Lake Maggiore. It is part of the ‘Gardens of Switzerland’ circuit and bears the ‘Garden of excellence’ label awarded by the International Camellia Society to the most beautiful gardens with the most significant plant collections.
The garden is home to more than a thousand plants and almost as many varieties of camellias, which, between March and April, offer themselves to the visitor’s eye at the height of their flowering and beauty.
