Swiss Location Award 2024 - Old depot in Camedo

Vote for the Swiss Location Award 2024!

In 2023, more than 58,000 organisers and visitors, as well as members of an independent jury of specialists, gave their assessment as part of the Swiss Location Award and the former Camedo train depot officially became one of Switzerland's best experience locations. This year, the facility has once again been selected for the coveted award.

As the 2024 edition approaches, the Ferrovie Autolinee Regionale Ticinesi (FART) invites everyone to take part in the vote, so that the former Camedo train depot continues to be recognised as one of the best locations for experiences in Switzerland. Organised by eventlokale.ch, the award is considered the most important seal of quality in the events sector. You can cast your vote on the eventlokale.ch portal (until 31 May 2024). 

Opened in July 2022, the depot is designed to immerse visitors in a unique atmosphere during historic train rides. There is a strong emphasis on sustainability: all the furnishings are made up of second-hand objects, which make the ambience even more original by combining objects from different eras, makes and materials. The depot was further enhanced by the artist Tamara Giovannacci, born in the Centovalli, who with her murals succeeded in ‘telling’ the journey from Locarno to Camedo in images.
