You will also climb the tallest bell tower in Ticino, which is 65m tall. Finally, you can visit the small Bottega Cento Rustici, where you can find a variety of regional specialities: polenta flour, wines, liqueurs, and more.
Intragna
Intragna, the central neighbourhood and seat of the Centovalli municipality, represents a real step back in time. The village is made up of a charming cluster of buildings that have grown up around a beautiful, circular square. Easy to reach by the Centovallina panoramic train, this village attracts many visitors who are interested in discovering the authentic side of Ticino.
Regional Museum of Centovalli and Pedemonte
The permanent exhibition of the Museum includes about twenty display spaces located within Casa Maggetti. Accompanied by a red thread, the visitor embarks on a “memory walk” that leads him through a labyrinth of rooms, balconies, staircases, landings,.. in which some particularly significant evidence of the past of the Centovalli and the Pedemonte are presented. The Museum also hosts regular art exhibitions, mainly featuring local artists from Locarno.
Bell tower
The bell tower located in the centre of the town, which at 65 metres is the highest in the Canton of Ticino, is a major tourist attraction. Climbing the 166 granite steps leads you to the level of the bells, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Pedemonte region, the Centovalli and the surrounding area.
