Woodturning workshop and wood museum

This thickly forested region supplies the valuable raw material for the woodturning workshop, which is based entirely on the old craft. The raw material gathered in the forests is processed into the end product here.

Located in the same building, in the hayloft above, is the wood museum. A small ethnographic section shows how day to day life revolved around wood in the past.

Finally, the wood library enables you to take a little journey through the different aspects of trees in Ticino and other areas of the world. Artistically turned and carved woodwork from around the world and a small museum shop round off the display. Admission is free of charge.
