The old town

Steeped in culture and history, and with its interesting architecture, Città Vecchia, the old town of Locarno, puts visitors under its spell straight away.

Old palaces, little alleyways and superb inner courtyards are to be found all along the route that leads from Piazza Grande to Piazza S. Antonio.

Bars, restaurants and shops enrich this atmospheric part of the city, which is also home to the Casa Rusca art gallery.
