Are you looking for unspoiled nature? The greenery of Monte Comino is more intense On the opposite side of Rasa, there is Monte Comino, surrounded by unspoilt nature, rich in fauna (hares, chamois and roe deer) and a flora characterised by beech and coniferous trees. A natural oasis at 1200 metres, comparable to a vast natural terrace bathed by the sun. Monte Comino is reached by the modern cable car, whose departure station is next to the main road and 100 metres from Verdasio Train Station. Sporty guests can walk up from Verdasio or Corcapolo. Once you reach the summit, there is a lot to offer. A short walk leads to the Madonna della Segna (15 minutes) or to the peat bog of Pian della Segna (25 minutes from the cable car), characterised by a remarkable natural biotope. Numerous paths and panoramic itineraries offer wonderful views of the surrounding mountains: on the clearest days the view reaches as far as Monte Rosa.

Combined ticket (train + cable car) The ticket includes a return journey from Locarno to Verdasio and a return journey with the Verdasio-Monte Comino cable car. The ticket is valid only when departing from Locarno.
