Coimo

The village of Coimo, with its typical local architecture of stone houses, is clearly visible from the train, which also offers views over its terraced fields, supported by thick drystone walls.

On the route from Druogno to Coimo you will see viaducts consisting of several arches extending across the broad side valleys. In the green countryside, the two viaducts over the Valle del Lupo and the Valle Antoliva stand out in particular.

The alpine landscape is characterised by chestnut forests and small quarries where Beola, the natural stone used throughout the valley, is extracted.
