Due to works related to the commissioning of a new safety system, rail services on the Vigezzina‑Centovalli Railway will be subject to changes between 13 and 20 July 2026.
From 13 to 19 July 2026, regional FART train services will be limited to the Locarno – Intragna section.
The Intragna – Camedo section will be served by a replacement bus service. International services between Domodossola and Locarno will operate regularly.
The purchase of international tickets remains unchanged and can be made at ticket offices or online.
On Monday, 20 July 2026, the Locarno – Camedo section will be completely closed to rail traffic.
Services will be fully replaced by buses:
On the same day, regional train services between Domodossola and Re will operate normally by rail.
From Tuesday, 21 July 2026 at the start of service, train operations will resume normally. Passengers are advised to allow extra travel time and to consult the online timetable before travelling.
