Passengers with reduced mobility

Travelling on the Ferrovia Vigezzina Centovalli is an experience to be recommended for passengers with reduced mobility too: enjoy the tranquillity and immerse yourself in the special atmosphere on our narrow-gauge railway, the idyllic countryside, and the colours of nature which change with the seasons.

In Italy

Disabled persons or persons with reduced mobility - if not already announced by other carriers - must indicate by email, fax (+39032445242) or telephone (+390324242055) at least 24 hours before the journey which journeys they intend to use and on which routes.

If SSIF does not provide written notice, the assistance service will not be confirmed and therefore admission may not be guaranteed for the chosen route. If there are no available seats, SSIF will inform you of availability on other routes.

In Switzerland

In Switzerland, passengers with reduced mobility must hold a relevant ID card for travellers with a disability, and this must be shown upon request, in order to use the associated services. Passengers with reduced mobility may also bring their guide dog free of charge in 1st or 2nd class.

A person with reduced mobility travelling alone requires a valid train ticket.

Every Ferrovia Vigezzina-Centovalli train composition has a wheelchair space.
